Chapter 13 and wage garnishment?

    call your attorney and tell them what is going on and they should be abe to contact your trustee and get this taken care of for you.

    Bruce, you do have to contact your attorney handling your chapter 13. Because the wage order is court ordered your employer cannot stop it just because you ask. Another reason being, if you are seperating and are planning to convert your chapter 13 to a chapter 7, you still need to go thru your attorney to have it converted over, which they do charge a small fee for. Your attorney can help you with this one, they are your attorney the entire time you are in the chapter 13. Good Luck!
